Job Description
The E-Commerce Project Manager is the main point of contact and accountable party for on-site e-commerce and the day-to-day manager of e-commerce for the assigned specific business unit(s). This role is a key liaison between the product, marketing, technical, vendor, and executive teams.
Responsibilities
• Manage e-commerce functions including, but not limited to, optimizing conversion, supporting acquisition and lead gen efforts, updating site content, managing pages and products, and overseeing user flow/customer experience.
• Act as IT single point of contact with the Ecommerce team
• Determination/description of the needs in the form of a requirement specification. Description technical specifications in cooperation with the relevant departments.
• Engage with business teams to understand key business goals and translate those to developments needed.
• Processing and solving Service Desk queries in coordination with key users and corresponding specialist departments.
• Provide software support and training for users.
• Project coordination with software vendors.
• Maintain operations budget, report on contracts, and project status.
• Effectively coordinate the E-commerce business requirements with the IT solutions teams and the IT development partners
• Participate in creating the E-commerce road-map that fulfills both the e-commerce business growth and the B.TECH IT standards
• Optimize the operational and IT needs of the E-commerce business requirements
• Adopt the Agile methodology while fulfilling the E-commerce business requirements with both the IT and development partners
• Optimize the operational and IT costs of the E-commerce solutions
Requirements:
• Have solid knowledge and experience in a fast-paced, e-Commerce business.
• Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining e-Commerce websites/portals.
• Knowledgeable of the e-Commerce space that includes marketing strategies, product development, competitive strategies, consumer research, industry trends, and usability best practices.
• Knowledge of various platforms and online sales strategies and can be used to conduct digital sales or website conversions.
• Familiarity with web design and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Analytical and multitasking skills.
