Job Description

Your responsibilities are outlined below:

  • Develop the Revenue & Pricing Strategies for the company in collaboration with the management and ensure their implementations to maximize short and long-term revenue opportunities are achieved.
  • Monitor market fares or sales trends daily versus air add-on charts and recommend changes as necessary from published fares, group fares, fare sales, web, low-cost carriers, airline contracts, and consolidators.
  • Lead analysis and identify opportunities to generate incremental revenue.
  • Provide insights at Point Of Sales in every station the company operates, Traffic Flows, Distribution Channel, and Customer segment across the entire network.
  • Monitor and analyze the company’s profitability providing business recommendations for performance improvement, this must be done by explaining drivers of performance and proposing actions to address revenue shortfalls or conversely capture revenue opportunities.
  • Closely monitor and analyze the competitive environment and the company’s position identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Design and build the next-generation reporting tools for better decision-making and diffuse them across the commercial Department.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Schedule Services team to ensure revenue optimization whilst executing the strategy.
  • Support the management with ad-hoc analysis, research, projects, and presentations.
  • Structure and run any complex analysis required including network expansion (new destinations, frequency increases, up-gauging), connectivity analysis, route deep-dive analysis; build templates to allow for efficient repetition of any analysis performed.
  • Lead communication with the Top Management to drive focus in areas of opportunity, providing insights on key performance indicators on market trends.
  • Train junior staff in analytics, tools, and modeling across any required analytical task.
  • Work closely with Commercial Data and Analytics teams to improve current business processes within the team.
  • Establish, maintain and ensure proper filing of reports and all other relevant documentation are properly saved on google drive.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Robust Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Knowledge of visualization tools (Microstrategy, Tableau, PowerBI) and strong SQL skills.
  • Experience in managing (Processing and analyzing) voluminous data.
  • Experience in deriving insights from data and submitting actionable recommendations to management.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing revenue & pricing strategies.
  • Must be business-minded, creative, detail-oriented, and possess organizational skills.
  • Be able to work under minimum supervision and very effective in decision making
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Strong analytical mindset with good working knowledge of Advanced Excel, MS Office, VBA/database experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, and ability to direct the actions of others.
  • A team player with the ability to work with a multitude of departments and staff members of all levels.
  • Available to travel as required.

Education and Experience

Education Required

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent in the related field.
  2. Recognized IATA or Airline Advanced Passenger Tariff and Pricing Course.

Experience Required

Minimum 4 years experience in leading analysis and identifying opportunities to generate incremental revenue within the airline / Travel industry.
