Duties and responsibilities

  1. Advise management on policies and strategies relating to planning, Performance Management, Corporate Research & Innovation, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management;
  2. Initiating development policies, procedures, regulations, guidelines, and strategies for resource mobilization and partnership development;
  3. Advising the Management on all resource mobilization and partnership issues;
  4. Ensuring implementing and reviewing of resource mobilization and marketing policies, strategies, and programmes;
  5. Overseeing the development of strategies and work planning for resource mobilization and partnership creation;
  6. Coordinating implementation of innovative fundraising and identifying new opportunities;
  7. Initiating partnership dialogue with bilateral partners and international financial institutions;
  8. Overseeing coordination, planning, development, and management of a public and private sector fundraising strategy to mobilize resources;
  9. Assessing opportunities for resource mobilization and identifying and mapping current and potential donors;
  10. Fostering partnerships between the Authority and development partners, local and international organizations;
  11. Coordinating mobilization of resources for the Authority;
  12. Coordinating the review of agreements with donors;
  13. Developing systems and procedures to monitor the collection of funds;
  14. Advising CEO on potential opportunities for fundraising and partnership developments;
  15. Ensuring effective utilization of resources in the department;
  16. Ensuring compliance with stakeholder requirements,
  17. Approving departmental work plans and budget, and
  18. Ensuring performance appraisal for staff.

 

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

i. At least Twelve (12) years’ work experience in Resource Mobilization and partnership development in public service or private sector, five (5) of which must be in a senior management position.

ii. A Bachelor’s Degree in any of Scheduled Sciences or in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development, Development Studies, International Relations, Public Administration and Business Administration or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;

iii. Master’s Degree in any of Scheduled Sciences or in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development, Development Studies, International Relations, Public Administration and Business Administration or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;

iv. A Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;

v. Be a member of a relevant professional body in good standing;

vi. Proficiency in computer applications;

vii. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution; and

viii. Demonstrated competence in work performance.
