Duties and responsibilities

1. Coordinating tracking and documentation of project progress against milestones in accordance with project schedules;
2. Coordinating development of functional and system design specifications for KOTDA engagements with contractors and other stakeholders;
3. Managing stakeholder’s contractual deliverables and coordinating reporting;
4. Coordinating design and execution of planned project activities within Konza Technopolis;
5. Coordinating with Chief Managers to identify project issues and ensure that they are tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner;
6. Coordinating proactive communication of project status, issues, and risks;
7. Coordinating development of Project Management Tools and strategies including project, communication, quality, risk, and configuration plans for Konza Projects;
8. Coordinating development of project tools and strategies for Konza Projects during the project; execution and communicate needed changes in a timely manner;
9. Coordinating review and updating of project tools and strategies for Project Teams / Department during project execution and communicate needed changes in a timely manner;
10. Liaising with Chief Managers in managing resources in accordance with Project standards and budgetary allocations.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

1. Minimum 10 years experience three of which must be in management;
2. Master’s Degree in Project Management or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
3. Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
4. Management course of not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
5. Member of a relevant professional body in good standing;
6. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
7. Proficiency in computer applications; and
8. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution.
