Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that the set sales targets are realized consistently in value and volume.
  2. Recruit, retain and develop customers into growth.
  3. Represent KOTDA interests in all the market segments.
  4. Develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines
  5. Co-ordinate the Sales performance of various products to ensure overall segment target is achieved.
  6. Regularly analyse sales and take corrective action to achieve targets.
  7. Provide sales forecast and feedback to the Management in order to plan for current and future capacities and as inputs into the supply chain planning.
  8. Analyse on a regular basis own sales and competitors’ as well as trends in the industry.
  9. Manage the CRM system.


For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:


  1. Have a minimum period ten (10) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at a supervisory level;
  2. Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: - Commerce or Business Administration, marketing or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  3. Have a Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution;
  4. Be a registered member of a relevant professional body in good standing;
  5. Attended Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  6. Proficiency in computer applications;
  7. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
  8. Demonstrated competence in work performance.


Preferred qualifications

  • Undergraduate
  • Business Management
  • Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA)
  • PMP
  • 10-15 years of Experince in prefered industry
