Job Description

An officer at this level is the overall in charge of the Business development and innovation with the following divisions; investor facilitation & one stop shop, marketing and communications, sales and ICT and smart city solutions divisions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Managing brand strategy and positioning, managing the brand and tracking and measuring its performance to inform future activity
  2. Monitoring and Measuring marketing effectiveness which includes identifying appropriate metrics and ensuring that all marketing activities are monitored on an ongoing basis and measured for their effectiveness
  3. Developing and managing appropriate channels and partners to meet changing customer needs and business goals
  4. Managing and disseminating content in all the organizations touch points
  5. Conducting customer and market research
  6. Contributing to determining competitive positioning of Konza Technopolis
  7. Implementing marketing programs to deliver value and attract and retain Investors and investment
  8. Coordinating the outreach programs / activities – call center by providing answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs), and project queries.
  9. Coordinating all corporate communications related activities including publishing of brochures, handbooks, calendars, annual reports, departmental reports, etc.
  10. Developing and delivering creative communication strategies and plans
  11. Updating the Authorities website and digital platforms and facilitate interdepartmental communications and managing external communications.
  12. Building and maintaining of consistent branding, corporate identity across marketing and public relations channels while keeping the authority up to date on industry trends.
  13. Developing suitable communication strategies to mitigate prevailing crisis.
  14. Developing content to provide clear and adequate information and material that will support marketing and communications activities
  15. Developing key presentations and collaterals needed for communications and outreach activities
  16. Convening public relations and media related meetings and chairing the sessions while ensuring all minutes are taken and filed.
  17. Managing events and other investment promotions programs to support investor attraction
  18. Managing Digital &Media Relations including information sharing and invitations for KoTDA events.

 

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  1. A minimum period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience three (3) years of which should be in a management position;
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business administration, Finance, Sciences, Engineering, Real estate Management, or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  3. Master’s Degree from a recognized institution;
  4. Professional qualification and membership to a professional body where applicable;
  5. Leadership course lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution;
  6. Proficiency in computer applications.;
  7. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
  8. Demonstrated competence in work performance.

Preferred qualifications

  • Undergraduate
  • Business Management
  • Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA)
  • PMP
  • 10-15 years of Experince in prefered industry
