Konza Technopolis Development Authority

Duties and Responsibilities
i. Co-ordinating and facilitating delivery of the Konza Technopolis overall objectives;
ii. Developing, coordinating, implementing, and regulating infrastructure policies, plans, strategies and programs;
iii. Overseeing the construction of infrastructure and the provision of high-quality municipal services;
iv. Oversee all real estate development at Konza Technopolis by managing construction and the provision of high-quality municipal services ;
v. Coordinating various studies and schemes to ensure all aspects relating to the development of infrastructure and provision of technical services at Konza Technopolis are carried out in a sustainable and cost-effective manner;
vi. Overseeing preparation engineering cost estimates;
vii. Overseeing the issuance of completion certificates for works done and payments to contractors and service providers;
viii. Ensuring quality assurance and control of infrastructure constructions.
ix. Coordinate various studies and schemes to ensure that human, building and other resources are utilized to the best advantage;
x. Initiate and oversee any works necessary for protection and preservation of natural resources and the environment;
xi. Coordinate the development and maintenance of modern Municipal buildings facilities.

 

Person Specification:
i. At least Twelve (12) years’ work experience in construction, operation and maintenance in public service or private sector, five (5) of which must be in a Senior management position.
ii. A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following; Architecture, Building Economics, Construction management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Sanitation, ICT Engineering, Environmental, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
iii. Master’s Degree in any of the following; Architecture, Building Economics, Construction management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering,
Sanitation, ICT Engineering, Environmental, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
iv. A Leadership Course lasting not less than Four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
v. Membership of a relevant professional body and in good standing.
vi. Proficiency in computer applications;
vii. Demonstrated results in work performance; and
viii. Meet the provision of Chapter Six of Constitution.
